Okay, so...
Thanks to my friend, KooKoo, I am newly addicted to Pampered Chef stuff. Thanks to my friend, Frenchie, I actually went to my first Pampered Chef party over the weekend. It was there that my life was dramatically changed for the better. It was there I learned of the Cup-a-Cup-a-Can-a-Can way of life. And I will never be the same.
The PC Consultant shared the most magnificent dip FORMULA with us-- and it's called Cup-a-Cup-a-Can-a-Can.
You combine
A cup of cheese (your choice)
A cup of mayo
THEN.
FROM YOUR PANTRY.
A can of something that would be good in a dip
A can of something else that would taste good in the same dip.
You stir it all up and then either nuke it or bake it, then serve it with whatever you want. I used those corn tortilla flatbread crackers from Trader Joe's.
Last night was the first:
cheddar
can of diced tomatoes with zesty mild chiles
shrimp (okay, so it wasn't from a can, but they were the tiny ones like one might find in a can)
And when I tasted it, I had to use every bit of strength I had to not run around my house screaming with joy. (It would have scared the pets, for one thing. And then there's the fact that I simply Don't Run, unless I'm being chased. Not even for dip.)
This simple recipe is nothing short of ingenious, and I am hereby going to dedicate my life to making every iteration of the formula that I can possily imagine. And I am imagining all KINDS of stuff. Stay tuned for The Future of My Dip-Making.
And if you have the sense enough to try this yourself, which I hope you do, don't go it alone. Share your concoctions with me and the world, here.
Enjoy!

OOOOO ok heaven Kimmy. I made it at my PC Party last night and I used that half cheddar half monterey jack and Rotel & a big can of chunky chicken....to die for I'm tellin you. They scraped the dish clean. This is like the easiest bestest thing ever! xoxo PamperedQueen
